|On March 6, 2015, Bookjobs representatives from Hachette Book Group, Simon & Schuster, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Penguin Random House, and Abrams Books will host a panel presentation on career opportunities in book publishing at Hachette's midtown offices for Bard and Vassar students visiting New York. This visit, which includes a house site tour and a panel of professionals from the organization or industry who talk about the variety of careers, internship opportunities and skills needed in the field. This gives students first hand look at the business environment and an opportunity to meet the professionals and HR staff. Book publishing isn't just for English majors! Bookjobs.com is an initiative of the Association of American Publishers' Diversity, Recruit & Retain Committee.
